| We can prove it Green Cotton has been a pioneer in the manufacture of environmentally friendly and sustainable textiles for many years. Our activities have attracted attention far and wide. We have been honoured with many awards for our efforts. But what really makes us proud is the fact that we can document our environmental performance. Reliable documentation is the best guarantee our customers and end-consumers can have. Our environmental management system has been certified in accordance with ISO14001 and we comply with the EU’s EMAS scheme. Our adherence to these internationally recognised standards places an environmental focus on Green Cotton products throughout their life cycle. A number of our partners in the Green Cotton concept have also received certification and many others are on the way. Green Cotton supports the life cycle eco-labelling of products - the EU ECO-label. This officially approved label provide consumers with clear, neutral product information. But there are new currents in the debate about sustainable production. Expectations are increasing in relation to social responsibility. That is why Green Cotton is now working on the development of ethical products. Documented performance is at the heart of the Green Cotton concept. Because there can be no substitute for the truth. We are helping to set the standards for the industry and are collaborating with Centre of Knowledge Concerning Environmental Friendly Textiles, The Federation of Textile and Clothing, The National Agency for Environment Protection and Eco-labelling Denmark.
